Les 8 Infos A Savoir Sur La Journee Un Cheat Code Nomme Haaland Liverpool Prend Le Mur Leverkusen Remet Les Gaz

8 things to know about the day: a cheat code named Haaland, Liverpool takes the wall, Leverkusen puts the gas back on...

Haaland, insatiable scorer

Erling Haaland continues to impress with Manchester City. This Saturday, against Wolverhampton, the Norwegian striker scored his third hat-trick in the Premier League. Since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium, he has scored 25 goals in 20 games in all competitions. A devilish average of 1.25 goals per game.

At 22, the native of Leeds seems to be evolving on another planet. To put his performance into perspective, Karim Benzema needed 145 games to score 25 goals with Real Madrid. Haaland, he did it in… 20!

Yesterday, against the Wolves, he also became the first player in history to score a hat-trick as a substitute in the Premier League. A performance that earned him praise from his coach, Pep Guardiola: "He's an incredible striker."

Liverpool hit a wall

Liverpool are going through a difficult period. The Reds, who finished runners-up in the Premier League, Champions League and League Cup last season, are no longer in the race for the title. After 20 days, they are 9th with only 29 points, 21 points behind leader Arsenal.

This Saturday, against Brighton (3-0), Liverpool suffered their fifth defeat of the season in the Premier League. A new setback that worries the supporters as much as the coach, Jürgen Klopp.

"It's a very difficult time for us, we have to admit it," said the German technician. "We have to find a way to play better and win matches. We have to do it together."

Leverkusen puts the gas back on

After a sluggish start to the season, Leverkusen seems to be back on track. This Saturday, against Hoffenheim (3-1), the Werkself chained a 5th victory in a row in the Bundesliga.

This success allows the players of Xabi Alonso to climb to 9th place in the standings with 24 points. They are now only 3 points behind the European places.

"We are on the right track," said the Spanish coach. "The players are gaining confidence and we are starting to play better football."
